Passive Protection via Aggressive Innovation
This may be the biggest innovation in fire since the discovery of fire. Yes, we could be overstating it — let’s say, “passive fire protection.”
FRPS is pleased to introduce our newest line of advanced fire-rated composite enclosures. This material and these enclosures represent a five-alarm breakthrough in the design, the installation, and the value of passive fire protection.
From its thoroughly-compliant fire rating, to its ease of shipping, to its simplicity of installation, our new composite products are changing the way the industry plans and protects.
The Highlights
- Odorless, chemically stable, and made from Class A rated, non-combustible, inorganic materials.
- Mold and mildew resistant, antimicrobial, and not classified as hazardous waste.
- Lightweight and engineered for quick on-site assembly which reduces labor time and shipping costs.
- Used in projects across schools, offices, healthcare, hospitality, student and senior housing, airports, clean rooms, data centers, retail, and more.
Lighten the Weight, the Worry, and the What-If
The International Building Code, Chapter 7, Section 714, requires that all membrane penetrations be tested to ASTM E119 and UL 263 standards to ensure assemblies maintain their full fire resistance rating.
Our new products not only comply to code, they set new standards of value and effectiveness.
The Composite Series Includes
- Fire rated troffer and LED lay-in light panel enclosures that preserve the fire-resistance rating of T-grid acoustic suspended tile ceiling systems.
- FRPS recessed downlighting enclosures are designed to protect recessed/pot lights and can-less fixtures.
- FRPS downlight enclosure also provides the required fire resistance rating for all Slim-line style 2-hour ASTM 283/I/C rated fixtures when installed in fire rated assemblies.
At FRPS, we’re anything but passive about passive fire protection.
