This 20" × 8" fire-rated enclosure comes in two depths and uses FRPS's patent-pending composite fiber construction – a lightweight alternative to traditional metal enclosures – to protect non-rated 1- and 2-hour IC-rated recessed, low-profile, slimline, and LED low-voltage downlighting. Maintains the fire-resistance rating of the fire-rated assembly for one hour per ASTM E119 / UL 263 testing.

Maintains FR rating when installed over fixtures in a suspended ceiling T-Grid system, or when installed and secured mechanically between joists or trusses in fire-rated assemblies.
Approved to ASTM E119 / UL 263 and ASTM E84 fire-resistance test.
